This online course introduces classroom primary teachers to how they can provide music instruction to their students in the classroom irrespective of their level of musical expertise and experience.

This course uses Mastering Music, an online music resource, to facilitate music learning by providing lessons in performing, composing, publishing and musicianship for students individually and in a class setting. These lessons have been mapped to the curriculum for each Year level (K-12) for easy assignment by teachers to student classes. The Mastering Music lessons are delivered using Google Classroom providing a seamless environment for teachers and students through a single logon with each student's work stored on their Google or One Drive.

On completion of this course, the classroom teacher will retain access to a single licence of Mastering Music to use in their classroom with their students.

Following registration, this course has been divided into several sessions each of which must be completed to qualify for the accreditation.

Session 1: Lesson Overview and Assigning Lessons to your Students (45 mins)
Session 2: Musicianship (1 hour)
Session 3: Performing on an Instrument (45 mins)
Session 4: Composing using Pitched and Percussion Instruments (1 hour)
Session 5: Music Notation and Publishing (1 hour)
Session 6: Interval Training (15 mins)
Session 7: Wrap Up and Evaluation (15 mins)
